Career Coaching and Career Testing- The Process
Career coaching and testing are key parts of the career search process. The testing helps you to really learn about yourself and your strengths. The coaching helps you think of possibilities that might never have occurred to you. It also helps you to learn how to make wise career and educational choices.
Career Coaching and Testing Package
The initial package includes:
- A first meeting with Linda Robinson, M.Ed. for a coaching and testing session, which lasts approximately four hours. It includes an in-depth interview, and you will take several assessments, including interest tests, a values survey, a personality test, and an aptitude test.
- A feedback session, lasting two hours, where parents or other support people can be in attendance. In this session we will look at your career profile, an in depth report, which includes your interest themes, important values, career environments to match your style, and your strongest aptitudes. We will generate a list of specific career and educational options and create a plan for you to research them.
- A follow up session where you report back on your research and you begin to make some decisions and decide on your next steps.
Benefits of Starting on a Solid, Well Planned Career Path
Once you gain an understanding of what is important to you and what your strengths are, and know you what the options offer, the decision making becomes much easier. Further coaching sessions are available to help you stay focused and on track.
